Dinastia Vivanco Rioja Crianza

Third Wine in the Twitter Taste Live. Produced by Bodegas Dinastia Vivanco. 100% Tempranillo.

I thought: The bottle was fantastic! Very fruity, earthy, smoky – not much experience of red wine personally but I could get a taste after trying this one.

Others said: deep, mellow, cherry, rich, fruity

Glad you enjoyed it. I think there might be some local stockists in Scotland and Edinburgh too. Thanks for taking part in the tasting, lots of fun

Thanks again Robert. I’ll keep an eye out for it and let you know if I spot it up here.

Have just returned to Bordeaux after visiting the Vivanco winery and museum yesterday. Said to be the world’s best wine museum and I can well believe it. The corkscrew collection alone is worth the trip! Have brought back a few cases – lovely white wine but not sure about the reds, especially the crianza – €8 is a lot for a rather ordinary wine and would go a lot further here in Bordeaux. Much preferred the Muriel 2001 reserva we shared at the Parador de Calahorra the night before.
