On our regular “Cards night” we like to drink good red wine whilst eating cheeses and the Vistasur wine is great for this.
We Swirled, Sniffed and Sipped (and dribbled!) and came up with a good review of this wine. Why you ask? Well swirling throws a thin film of wine on the sides of the glass (legs) and oxygenates it then inhale to smell the pleasant aromas (bouquet) and heighten your senses, sip by letting the wine spread across your tongue and for those of you who can manage it, slurp through puckered lips hence the dribbling.
The Vistasur Cabernet Sauvignon is a full bodied wine which is easy to drink, leaving a satisfying rounded plush feel in the mouth so I rate this wine 8/10.
Chile produces some of the most exciting and fabulous wines and this has to be up there with the best for the price, it is fleshy, juicy and ripe on the palate with aromas of black cherry and berries.
This is a nice red wine to drink which has soft tannins and a wonderful firm roundness, enjoyable in every sense of the word. On pouring the colour in the glass (done correctly by placing next to something white) is a dark rich garnet colour.
The labelling with the VS very lightly embossed adds a touch of class to an otherwise boring and understated label.
The alcohol content at 14% is high but you don’t feel too drunk too quickly!! It mellows in the mouth and is an everyday nicely balanced food wine.
