Wakefield Estate Jaraman Cabernet Sauvignon

This was my favourite red from the recent Cockburns of Leith tasting. After working our way though a few lighter reds, a couple of Beaujolais and some Pinot Noir we moved on to the Cabernet Sauvignon‘s and really enjoyed this one.

This is an Australian wine from Wakefield of Clare Valley and was priced at £16.75 so I have to admit it’s a bit beyond what I would normally spend on a bottle which meant it was a treat to taste it. It was a really rich, deep colour with lots of blackcurrant fruit and a lovely long finish. Definitely one I would love to try again when my wine buying budget increases!
